The Goodness of God
Scripture
"Oh taste and see that Yahweh is good. Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him." — Psalm 34:8 (WEB)
Teaching
Before you close your eyes tonight, taste and see that the Lord is good. Think about His goodness — the breath in your lungs, the people in your life, the Word in your heart, the hope in your spirit. Every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17).
Even on difficult days, God's goodness is present. It may be hidden behind the clouds, but it is always there. Like the sun behind storm clouds, His goodness never diminishes — only our ability to see it changes.
Tonight, choose gratitude. List five things you are thankful for. Let thanksgiving be the anthem of your evening.
Reflection
Name five specific things you are thankful for today. How has God's goodness been evident in your life recently?
Prayer
Lord, You are good, and Your mercy endures forever. I am grateful for Your goodness in my life. Even when I cannot see it, I trust it. Fill my heart with gratitude as I rest tonight. Amen.

God is good! His goodness surrounds me. I taste and see His goodness every day, and I am blessed because I take refuge in Him.
