A Psalm of Trust

"My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my expectation is from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken." — Psalm 62:5-6 (WEB)
Teaching
David often spoke to his own soul — instructing it, encouraging it, directing it toward God. This is a powerful practice. When your emotions are turbulent, when doubt creeps in, when weariness sets in — speak to your soul.
"My soul, wait in silence for God alone." Tell your soul to be quiet. Tell it to trust. Tell it that God is your rock, your salvation, your fortress. Tell it that you will not be shaken.
Tonight, direct your soul toward God. Whatever chaos swirls inside, let your soul find its anchor in Him.

What is your soul saying tonight? How can you redirect it toward trust and silence before God?
Prayer
My soul, wait in silence for God alone. He is my rock, my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. Father, calm my soul and fill it with Your peace tonight. Amen.
