The Shepherd's Care
Scripture
"Yahweh is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters." — Psalm 23:1-2 (WEB)
Teaching
Tonight, let the Good Shepherd lead you to rest. Just as a shepherd makes his sheep lie down in green pastures beside still waters, God is inviting you to rest — truly rest — in His care.
The sheep lie down only when they feel safe, satisfied, and free from fear. The shepherd's presence provides all three. In the same way, God's presence tonight is your safety, your satisfaction, and your freedom from fear.
You do not need to figure everything out tonight. The Shepherd is watching. The Shepherd is guiding. The Shepherd is providing. Lie down in His green pastures and sleep well.
Reflection
What does it mean for you personally that the Lord is your Shepherd? What are you trusting Him to provide tonight?
Prayer
Lord, You are my Shepherd, and I shall not want. Lead me to rest tonight. Calm my mind, ease my body, and let me sleep in the assurance that You are watching over me. Amen.

The Lord is my Shepherd. I lack nothing. He leads me to rest, restores my soul, and watches over me through the night.
