Day 11 · Morning Devotional

Forgiveness Frees

Scripture

"And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." — Ephesians 4:32 (WEB)

Teaching

Unforgiveness is a prison we build for ourselves. When we hold onto offences, bitterness takes root and poisons our peace, our prayers, and our relationships. Jesus taught that if we do not forgive others, our Father in heaven will not forgive us (Matthew 6:15). Fasting is an ideal time to deal with unforgiveness. As your body is cleansed through fasting, let your heart be cleansed through forgiveness. This does not mean what happened was acceptable — it means you are releasing the person into God's hands and freeing yourself from the weight of resentment. Is there someone you need to forgive today? Perhaps it is a family member, a friend, a colleague, or even yourself. Let this be the day you choose freedom.
Reflection

Is there anyone you need to forgive? What would it take for you to truly release that person and that situation to God?

Prayer

Father, I choose to forgive as You have forgiven me. I release every offence, every hurt, and every resentment into Your hands. Free me from bitterness and fill me with Your love and peace. Amen.

✦ Declaration

I am free from unforgiveness. I forgive as Christ forgave me. My heart is clean, my prayers are unhindered, and I walk in peace.
