Day 12 · Morning Devotional

Pressing Through

Scripture

"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 3:14 (WEB)

Teaching

By now you may be settling into the rhythm of fasting, or you may be finding it increasingly difficult. Either way, Paul's words are for you: "I press on." The Christian life — and especially a fasting journey — is not a sprint. It is a marathon that requires endurance, focus, and perseverance. Pressing through means continuing to pray when you don't feel like it. It means reading the Word when your mind wanders. It means staying committed to the fast when your body protests. The prize is not just the completion of the fast — it is the transformation that happens along the way. Don't give up. Every day you persist in this journey, something is shifting in the spiritual realm. Your breakthrough may be just around the corner.
Reflection

What has been the hardest part of this fasting journey so far? How can you lean on God's strength to press through?

Prayer

Lord, give me the strength to press on. When I feel like giving up, remind me of the prize ahead. Let perseverance do its perfect work in me. I choose to finish what I started. Amen.

✦ Declaration

I press on toward the goal. I do not give up. I am strong in the Lord, and I will finish this race with joy.
