Trusting God's Timing

Waiting is one of the hardest disciplines of the Christian life. We live in a culture of instant everything — instant food, instant communication, instant gratification. But God operates on a different timetable. His timing is perfect, even when it feels painfully slow. Abraham waited 25 years for Isaac. Joseph waited 13 years from the pit to the palace. The Israelites waited 400 years for deliverance from Egypt. Yet in each case, when God's time arrived, the result was worth the wait. During this fast, you may be waiting for an answer, a breakthrough, or a change. Trust that God has not forgotten you. He makes everything beautiful in its time — not early, not late, but right on time.
