Rooted in Love
Scripture
"That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, to the end that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be strengthened to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and height and depth, and to know Christ's love which surpasses knowledge." — Ephesians 3:17-19 (WEB)
Teaching
Paul's prayer for the Ephesian church was not for more money, better health, or easier circumstances. It was that they would comprehend the love of Christ — a love so vast it has width, length, height, and depth. A love that surpasses knowledge itself.
When you are rooted and grounded in God's love, everything changes. Fear loses its grip. Insecurity fades. Comparison becomes irrelevant. You no longer need to earn acceptance because you already have it in Christ.
Today, let this truth sink deep: You are deeply, unconditionally, relentlessly loved by God. Not because of what you do, but because of who He is.
Reflection
How deeply do you believe God loves you — not in theory, but in your daily experience? What would change if you fully grasped His love?
Prayer
Father, root me in Your love. Help me to comprehend its width, length, height, and depth. Let Your love be the foundation of my identity, my security, and my confidence. Amen.
