Day 26 · Morning Devotional

The Battle Belongs to the Lord

Scripture

"Don't be afraid or dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's." — 2 Chronicles 20:15 (WEB)

Teaching

Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming enemy — three armies advancing simultaneously. His response? He gathered the people to fast and pray. And God's answer was remarkable: "The battle is not yours, but God's." The next day, Jehoshaphat sent worshippers ahead of the army. They didn't fight with swords — they worshipped. And God set ambushes against the enemy, and the three armies destroyed each other. When you face battles that seem too big — financial pressures, health crises, family conflicts, spiritual attacks — remember: the battle belongs to the Lord. Your job is to worship and trust. His job is to fight and win.
Reflection

What battle are you trying to fight in your own strength? How can you surrender it to God and trust His strategy?

Prayer

Father, I surrender this battle to You. It is too big for me, but it is not too big for You. I choose to worship instead of worry. Fight for me, Lord. The battle is Yours. Amen.

✦ Declaration

The battle belongs to the Lord! I do not fight in my own strength. God goes before me, and He fights for me. Victory is assured.
