Day 29 — Drawing Near to God (Week 5)

I declare that I am drawing nearer to God. As I seek His face, He draws near to me. I am a child of the Most High God, and I walk in His presence every day. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. My fast is accepted before God, and He is working in my life.

God extends a personal invitation to every believer: "Draw near to Me, and I will draw near to you" (James 4:8). This is not a distant command from an unreachable deity, but a loving call from a Father who desires fellowship with His children. As you begin this fasting journey, remember that fasting is not about earning God's favour — it is about positioning your heart to receive what He has already prepared for you. When we set aside food and focus on God's Word and prayer, we create space for the Holy Spirit to speak, to reveal, and to transform. Today, wherever you are in the world, know that thousands of believers are joining you in this journey. Together, we are drawing closer to God, seeking His face, and believing for transformation in our lives, families, communities, and nations. As we continue in week 5 of this journey, let us press deeper into what God is speaking to us. Every day of fasting is a fresh opportunity to encounter His glory and experience His transforming power.
