I declare that I am being transformed by the renewing of my mind. Old things have passed away — behold, all things are becoming new. I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit is doing a fresh work in my life, and I will never be the same.

David's cry in Psalm 51:10 — "Create in me a clean heart, O God" — is one of the most honest prayers in Scripture. He was not asking for a slight adjustment; he was asking for a complete recreation. The Hebrew word "create" (bara) is the same word used in Genesis 1:1 — it implies something only God can do. Fasting creates space for divine renewal. As we empty ourselves of physical nourishment, we open ourselves to spiritual refreshment. The things that once seemed so important begin to fade, and God's priorities come into sharper focus. Today, invite God to do a work of renewal in your heart. Let Him clean out what no longer serves His purpose and fill you with fresh vision, fresh passion, and fresh fire. As we continue in week 6 of this journey, let us press deeper into what God is speaking to us. Every day of fasting is a fresh opportunity to encounter His glory and experience His transforming power.
