Day 42 — The Word of God (Week 6)

I declare that the Word of God is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. I meditate on it day and night, and whatever I do prospers. God's Word is alive, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It will not return void but will accomplish everything God intends.

When Jesus was tempted by the devil after 40 days of fasting, He responded each time with "It is written." He did not rely on His own wisdom or debate the enemy's arguments. He simply spoke the Word — and the Word prevailed. During this fast, let the Word of God be your daily bread. Read it slowly. Meditate on it deeply. Speak it aloud over your life. The enemy cannot withstand the declared Word of God. Psalm 119:105 says God's Word is both a lamp (for the next step) and a light (for the bigger picture). You may not see the whole journey, but God's Word will always show you enough for today. As we continue in week 6 of this journey, let us press deeper into what God is speaking to us. Every day of fasting is a fresh opportunity to encounter His glory and experience His transforming power.
