I declare that I am a person of faith. I trust in the Lord with all my heart. I do not lean on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him, and He directs my paths. My faith is growing, my trust is deepening, and God is faithful.

Fasting often brings us to the edge of our comfort zone — and that is precisely where faith grows. Proverbs 3:5-6 invites us to trust God completely, relinquishing our need to understand everything before we obey. The heroes of faith in Hebrews 11 did not receive all the promises in their lifetime, yet they believed. Abraham left his homeland not knowing where he was going. Moses chose suffering over the comforts of Egypt. They trusted a God who is faithful beyond human comprehension. As you fast today, you may not understand why God is asking you to wait, to trust, or to persevere. But know this: He who began a good work in you will carry it to completion. As we continue in week 8 of this journey, let us press deeper into what God is speaking to us. Every day of fasting is a fresh opportunity to encounter His glory and experience His transforming power.
